We all known that Need for Speed:Shift has been released at September 15, 2009. For years Need for Speed has given unbelievable driving experience. Now on, EA Games back with its latest NFS, Need for Speed:Shift. It'll give you more than driving experience.
Need for Speed series was one of the highlight racing series of its time. With its street racing and cop chases, it took us to another world. However, it was only a matter of time before the series began to fall back in the pack with the appearance of Forza, and Gran Turismo and even Project Gotham. With a new developer and a new concept, Need for Speed Shift is turning for a more professional look, does it still have the arcady feel that we’ve known from the series?
Gameplay The fast and furious night time style racing that we’ve known from the series is gone. In its place we are given a more professional and traditional style racing game taking on real physics, true handling and a different kind of simulation racing. You’ll be strapped into g-force inducing cars that will test your strength and handiness in a blast of unimaginable speed. While you’ll be able to change views, the cockpit view is the trademark of the game and the one we will be discussing here. There is an incredible attention to detail in environments, tracks and cars all at high resolution textures with incredible damage physics and night and day time rotations. It’s surprising that the game is actually able to keep up at its 60fps ratio.
To start, the presentation is slick and can be easily navigated. The large white text that populates the games menu makes sure you don’t get lost. There are options for launching Career mode or Online depending if you’re on Xbox Live or PSN. There are also instructional videos that will help guide you to making the best of your Shift experience. In the game you are given your Driver Profile. Here is where all of the stat tracking takes place. This also details your particular driving style, whether you are aggressive or passive for lack of a better word. In the end, the game itself already has a sense of your style to begin with and gives you the best difficulty and settings it believes will benefit your racing. It can all be adjusted, so if you think it needs changing you can go in later and fix it yourself. This means that Career mode is tailored to each individual person for their own unique Shift experience.
Moving onward, even though there is a great selection of cars, over 65+ to be exact, its how you go about getting those cars that may confuse some. First, you have to unlock after playing certain races and reaching designated levels. Outside of that you have to make sure you have enough in-game cash to support the purchase. What I found interesting was that EA will also charge real cash if you want to buy the cars immediately. Afterwards you can customize the car to your hearts desire and even add some nitro for those into the street racing. There isn’t a great selection for graphics and other logos you may want on the car unfortunately. There is even an option for a “work conversion” which also maxes out the performance of the car and gives you the best racing vehicle you can own.
Now, taking a look at the trademark of the game; the cockpit view. You’ll be strapped into the driver’s seat and literally facing the intensity of what real drivers face on the track. The dashboard is extremely detailed and has everything down to the odometers in front of you. During the race, you’ll hear the driver gasping as a crash flies in front of him and get momentary blurred vision when you suffer in a crash. This driver POV makes the game that much more realistic in every sense of the word. It’s a wonder why anyone would bother going into third-person view. Need for Speed Shift offers a fair challenge throughout your career so you will be tested. There are modes like drifting, time attacks, endurance races and obviously the standard races. All of these will gain you experience and be able to compete among the best in the Need for Speed World Tour.
There are over 50 tracks in the game including visits to professional stadium tracks, and even fictional tracks in London and Tokyo. There are plenty of online races to be had with you and up too 7 others. As a reminder, if you cut corners during races you will be penalized online and off. Your driver profile also carries over online, so you won’t have to worry about losing anything you accomplish in Career mode. There is a fun mode called “Driver Battles”, which pits two drivers against each other in pre-determined cars and tracks in 2 out of 3 rounds. Winners move up to face more difficult opponents and losers are kicked back down the ranks.
Need for Speed: Shift Gameplay
Car handling in Need for Speed: Shift is simple but accessible, there isn’t too much of a learning curve until you hit the later tiers. The difficulty settings help manage the learning curve and give you assistance throughout each tier. For example, easy difficulties help you out on tight turns…being a little loose on brakes. Harder difficulties are challenging and the other drivers will certainly give you a ride for that top podium spot. Don’t be discouraged, a little practice makes perfect after all. When you’re behind the wheel, each car has its own unique handling ability. So, you’ll have to make sure you are versatile enough to compete. For instance, the Audi is quick and fast and can easily spin out if you’re not careful. Need for Speed Shift completely nails the sense of speed as you’re flying through the track and start to feel the heat. The AI in the game is thankfully handled well. All drivers adapt to your instincts and habits, so be careful when you reach the later tiers of your career.
Graphics While it may not be up to the likes of Forza or Gran Turismo, it’s pretty damn close. The cockpit is the center piece of our attention and again is detailed to excellence. There is everything down to individual meters on the car that even show metric readings. The dashboard does reflect on the windshield and when you crash your vision gets blurred and your driver struggles to regain composure. While everything else is in place, it is odd that there is no handbrake animation once you reach the tight turns at each track and all you are relying is your ABS brakes. There are unfortunately lengthy load times as well as a glitched replay mode. The damage mode isn’t detailed much, though it’s the thought that counts.
Sound On the road, you’ll be hearing the bustling of the car you’re driving. You’ll hear the engine roaring to life as you speed out of the starting gate. Need for Speed: Shift also carries with it a soundtrack that you would expect from the series. Hip hop and rock fill in the background as you browse throughout the game. You’ll also have and partner with you throughout you’re career guiding you through radio transmission. The game makes you feel like you’re in the NASCAR races getting coached as you figure out how to pass other drivers on the fly.
Plasma Factor Need for Speed Shift has all the pieces to the puzzle and adds in something extra. The game is fun and manages to keep you’re attention for as long as you are willing to lend it. For casual players, it may not exactly be the kind of game you’re looking for to pass the time. For hardcore racing fans, however, it’s a plus when you are in the middle of the action in that cockpit in full control of your car. It’s one of those games that remind you of Codemaster’s, Race Driver: GRID. Need for Speed: Shift is a game that will no doubt go under the radar sooner rather then later.
Conclusion With the disappearance of street style racing and night time fun, Need for Speed Shift still represents a good entry in the series. Purists of the series might take the new turn a little harder then others. Despite that, Shift is one game that if supported could easily stand against Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport.

Resident Evil 5, known in Japan as Biohazard 5 , is the fifth installment in the Resident Evil survival horror video game series for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was developed and published by Capcom. Capcom officially announced Resident Evil 5 on July 20, 2005 and it was released on March 5, 2009 in Japan and is scheduled for release on March 13, 2009 in North America and Europe.
Jun Takeuchi, the game's producer, said that Resident Evil 5 will feature similar gameplay to Resident Evil 4. The player will control Chris Redfield similarly to how the player controlled Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 4, with the same over-the-shoulder perspective. The game's environment will also play a significant role. The Mercenaries minigame, which was featured in both Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4, will make a return in Resident Evil 5.
The game will also feature new types of enemies. The extended E3 2007 trailer revealed several sequences involving Redfield attacking hordes of fleet-footed enemies, who possessed melee weapons. Takeuchi has also stated the game's enemies will also possess human-like intelligence and awareness. Furthermore, he stated they will be different from the previous ganados. Takeuchi said that they have "greatly increased the number of weapon variations" compared to the previous games in the series, while the requisite handguns and shotguns also return.
In an interview with XBOX360ISM, Keiji Inafune stated that the game will feature some online elements. Resident Evil 5's main story mode can be played with two players, in a co-operative online mode. The feature will allow players to enter or leave anytime during the game. Players will not always stick together, and can be separated at points during the gameplay.
Trailers at Tokyo Game Show 2008, revealed an "offline co-op mode." This mode delivers the same co-op experience as offered by the online co-op mode, only with two local players controlling the action in split screen.
Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar, play it with your man
Resident Evil 5's setting will have a similar feel to the film Black Hawk Down. Takeuchi added that the development team is composed of staff members who worked on the first Resident Evil. He has stated that Resident Evil 5 will be an actual sequel to the Resident Evil series. Before Takeuchi took over, the game's former producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi stated "it's safe to say that Resident Evil 5 will naturally proceed from where Resident Evil 4 left off".
In a July 2007 Famitsu interview, producer Jun Takeuchi revealed the main playable character is Chris Redfield and the game takes place roughly ten years after the events of the original Resident Evil. The story will explore Chris' life during the ten year interval between the two games. During the game's events, he is a member of a group known as Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), and sent to investigate an incident in a desert area that serves as the game's setting. Takeuchi also confirmed that a female character from the series, who is seen briefly at the end of the trailer, will appear in the game. In an online interview, Takeuchi revealed that the game's plot will be set in Africa, and will concern "the origins of the virus". He also stated one of the plot's key elements will revolve around the whereabouts of STARS and Redfield's life after the first Resident Evil game. The story is set in the fictional African country of Kijuju.
Another game trailer that was released on May 31, 2008 depicted a female character named Sheva Alomar who is an agent of the West African branch of the BSAA, who will assist Redfield. Alomar will follow Redfield, while supplying him with ammo and support. She will also be able to engage enemies, and will require the player's assistance from time to time.
watch u'r back!!!
The antagonists of the game includes Chris Redfield's nemesis Albert Wesker, and a woman named Excella Gionne, a relative of the founder of the Tricell Pharmaceutical Company who operates the company's African branch. Ozwell E. Spencer, the founder of Umbrella Corp. and a key figure in the background story of the series since the original Resident Evil, will be formally introduced in the game.
Killzone 2 is a science fiction first-person shooter for the PlayStation 3, developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. It is the third installment in the Killzone franchise that began on the PlayStation 2 with Killzone and continued on the PlayStation Portable with Killzone: Liberation. The game was first announced at E3 2005, with a tech demo on display, while the first gameplay footage was shown two years later at E3 2007. Killzone 2 was and will be released worldwide late February 2009.
Early reviews of the game were largely positive, while pre-orders of the game have topped 1.1 million units in Europe alone.
Story
Killzone 2 follows the events of Killzone and Killzone: Liberation, and will take place entirely on the planet Helghan, the home-world of the Helghast, who invaded an Interplanetary Strategic Alliance (ISA) colony. Two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA has launched an assault on the enemy's homeworld of Helghan. The ISA goal is to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Scolar Visari, and bring the Helghast war machine to a halt. Players assume the role of Sergeant Tomas "Sev" Sevchenko, a battle-hardened veteran of the special forces unit Alpha Team, who go on a mission to take out the Helghast threat.
During the invasion of Helghan, Sev's unit is deployed behind enemy lines to assist the main invasion force. Tasked with securing the enemy capital of Pyrrhus, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a more formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to Helghan's hostile conditions, they have also harnessed the power of the freakish lightning storms that always occur on Helghan which they can now use against the ISA. A cold, barren, unforgiving world, Helghan provides a ready defense with thick, acidic air, dust clouds, and violent surgical lightning storms. Sev discovers his squad is not just fighting enemy forces – their fiercest opponent may be the planet itself.
Killzone 2 Slideshow
Characters
Sergeant Tomas "Sev" Sevchenko is the main character of Killzone 2, and part of the ISA Special Forces Alpha Team. He is a withdrawn and unusually contemplative man. At age 25 he's already been in several successful campaigns, but they've also exacted a toll on him. He's an imperfect soldier in a perfect army.
Corporal Dante Garza is a member of the ISA Special Forces Alpha Team. Smart-mouthed and young, Garza is still a loyal and trusty soldier who has earned his elite status.
Sergeant Rico Velasquez is a veteran of the ISA. He is a human tank who prefers to shoot first and ask questions later, if at all. He's all attitude but despite this he has a good heart. Rico prefers an up-front fight and is a character of extremes; he can get agitated very quickly and doesn't hold back on anything. During the orbital defense platform crisis, Rico was left stranded by a brutal Helghast attack and consequently befriended Templar, Luger and Hakha. Later, he became embedded with Alpha Team to spearhead the invasion on Helghan’s capital, Pyrrhus.
Corporal Shawn Natko is the demolitions expert for the ISA Special Forces Alpha Team.
Colonel Jan Templar is the commander of the ISA cruiser 'New Sun'. Protagonist of Killzone and Killzone: Liberation, he leads the invasion of Helghan from the sky, without actually being in the field.
Emperor Scolar Visari is the leader of Helghast forces and ruler of Helghan planet. He is responsible for the re-militarization of the Helghan troops after their defeat following the First Helghan War. He has succeeded in launching an invasion of one of ISA colonial planets, Vekta, to avenge what he sees as the abandonment and abuse of the Helghast. He is voiced by Brian Cox.
Colonel Radec is the commander of Visari's personal guard and defends planet Helghan, he is shown to have a desire for killing and prefers action rather than planning. Determined and ruthless, he is called the hound of Visari.
Gameplay Campaign
With Killzone 2, Guerrilla Games aims to provide the player with an immersive and cinematic gameplay experience that is grounded in reality with what they call "Hollywood Realism". The game is presented almost entirely from a first person perspective, aside from vehicular combat. Killzone 2 features a "lean and peek" cover system which allows the player to take cover behind an object and then pop out to fire at enemies. The "lean and peek" mechanic stays in first person view at all times. It has also been announced that Sev is able to pilot vehicles, such as tanks. Many classic weapons and vehicles from previous Killzone installments will be returning, such as the M82-G and the StA-52 LAR. The Sixaxis motion control feature will also be utilized in performing certain actions such as turning a valve, arming an explosive charge and sniping. Game director Mathjis de Jonge has confirmed there are currently no plans to have co-op in Killzone 2.
Multiplayer
Warzone, the title of the multiplayer component of Killzone 2 has been developed by Guerrilla Games in conjunction with the game's single-player campaign. The multiplayer gameplay is class-based, meaning the player can choose a class of character which is specialized for a specific role to better suit the player's needs in battle. There will be 7 classes in total, in which the player can mix and match two according to their playing style, and can switch abilities upon death.
Players play as either the ISA or Helghast, with no gameplay difference pending on which team one is assigned to other than character model. Each class levels up with experience gained from killing or completing mission objectives, with enough experience they unlock new weapons, skills etc. as well as a new class that is unlocked. Each class has two badges, the Primary badge selects the class and their specified skill, the secondary badge has an extra skill for the specified class but can be swapped to custom create your own class.
Warzone plays out through dynamic matches where multiple game types are played in a single round. The game ships with five different game types including Assassination, Search & Retrieve, Search & Destroy, Bodycount and Capture & Hold. Online matches can connect 2 to 32 players, and they can group into squads of up to four players. Furthermore, two squads can group together as a faction of eight players. If an online match does not have a full 32 players, computer-generated "bots" can be added in to create bigger teams. Killzone 2 also offers a clan system, which allows clans of up to 64 players to compete for "Valor Points", an in-game currency that clans can use to bet on tournaments.
Players can also play offline against AIs with Skirmish mode.
Eight multiplayer maps are included on disc at release, Guerrilla has stated that further maps will be made available as future downloadable content. Vehicles have also been confirmed to be part of the multiplayer experience and are to be patched post-release.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 has been released. PES 2009 offered some new features : like team license from Liverpool and Manchester United, and even more underdogs team, player’s movement more realistic, texture of player strip more realistic too, become legend mode (very interesting, try this) and more features in master league.
But I won’t share about the features this time. If u like to do some dribble trick in PES (or Winning Eleven), you will find that it’s not like the previous version. So, I won’t share about ordinary dribble trick.
These trick explained with condition your player move from left to right (facing the right) and make you mastered this game (I hope so) :
Cross over : while running press L1 twice
Cross over 2 : while running press L2 twice
Tricky feint 1 : hold R2 + press up (or down) twice
Tricky feint 2 : hold R2 + press up then down (do it quickly) or hold R2 + press down then up (do it quickly).
Lift the ball : hold R2 + press left then right (do it quickly). Your player will lift the ball, you can use it to pass defensive player or avoid tackling.
Drag-back : hold R2 + press back button twice (hold R2 + press left button twice )
Drag-back and go : hold R2 + press back button twice (hold R2 + press left button twice ) then press (up+right) or (down+right)
Flip-flap : it’s more difficult to explain, but i’ll try my best. While running (don’t press R1) press up+right then down+right or you can press down+right then up+right, depending on defensive player position. You must do it quickly.
360 degree turn over : it’s my favorite trick because so many players said that this trick has been removed. It’s wrong. To do this, just rotate your left analog 360 degree, clockwise or reverse clockwise.
