Killzone 2

Killzone 2 is a science fiction first-person shooter for the PlayStation 3, developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. It is the third installment in the Killzone franchise that began on the PlayStation 2 with Killzone and continued on the PlayStation Portable with Killzone: Liberation. The game was first announced at E3 2005, with a tech demo on display, while the first gameplay footage was shown two years later at E3 2007. Killzone 2 was and will be released worldwide late February 2009.

Early reviews of the game were largely positive, while pre-orders of the game have topped 1.1 million units in Europe alone.

Story

Killzone 2 follows the events of Killzone and Killzone: Liberation, and will take place entirely on the planet Helghan, the home-world of the Helghast, who invaded an Interplanetary Strategic Alliance (ISA) colony. Two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA has launched an assault on the enemy's homeworld of Helghan. The ISA goal is to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Scolar Visari, and bring the Helghast war machine to a halt. Players assume the role of Sergeant Tomas "Sev" Sevchenko, a battle-hardened veteran of the special forces unit Alpha Team, who go on a mission to take out the Helghast threat.

During the invasion of Helghan, Sev's unit is deployed behind enemy lines to assist the main invasion force. Tasked with securing the enemy capital of Pyrrhus, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a more formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to Helghan's hostile conditions, they have also harnessed the power of the freakish lightning storms that always occur on Helghan which they can now use against the ISA. A cold, barren, unforgiving world, Helghan provides a ready defense with thick, acidic air, dust clouds, and violent surgical lightning storms. Sev discovers his squad is not just fighting enemy forces – their fiercest opponent may be the planet itself.

Characters
  1. Sergeant Tomas "Sev" Sevchenko is the main character of Killzone 2, and part of the ISA Special Forces Alpha Team. He is a withdrawn and unusually contemplative man. At age 25 he's already been in several successful campaigns, but they've also exacted a toll on him. He's an imperfect soldier in a perfect army.
  2. Corporal Dante Garza is a member of the ISA Special Forces Alpha Team. Smart-mouthed and young, Garza is still a loyal and trusty soldier who has earned his elite status.
  3. Sergeant Rico Velasquez is a veteran of the ISA. He is a human tank who prefers to shoot first and ask questions later, if at all. He's all attitude but despite this he has a good heart. Rico prefers an up-front fight and is a character of extremes; he can get agitated very quickly and doesn't hold back on anything. During the orbital defense platform crisis, Rico was left stranded by a brutal Helghast attack and consequently befriended Templar, Luger and Hakha. Later, he became embedded with Alpha Team to spearhead the invasion on Helghan’s capital, Pyrrhus.
  4. Corporal Shawn Natko is the demolitions expert for the ISA Special Forces Alpha Team.
  5. Colonel Jan Templar is the commander of the ISA cruiser 'New Sun'. Protagonist of Killzone and Killzone: Liberation, he leads the invasion of Helghan from the sky, without actually being in the field.
  6. Emperor Scolar Visari is the leader of Helghast forces and ruler of Helghan planet. He is responsible for the re-militarization of the Helghan troops after their defeat following the First Helghan War. He has succeeded in launching an invasion of one of ISA colonial planets, Vekta, to avenge what he sees as the abandonment and abuse of the Helghast. He is voiced by Brian Cox.
  7. Colonel Radec is the commander of Visari's personal guard and defends planet Helghan, he is shown to have a desire for killing and prefers action rather than planning. Determined and ruthless, he is called the hound of Visari.
Gameplay

Campaign

With Killzone 2, Guerrilla Games aims to provide the player with an immersive and cinematic gameplay experience that is grounded in reality with what they call "Hollywood Realism". The game is presented almost entirely from a first person perspective, aside from vehicular combat. Killzone 2 features a "lean and peek" cover system which allows the player to take cover behind an object and then pop out to fire at enemies. The "lean and peek" mechanic stays in first person view at all times. It has also been announced that Sev is able to pilot vehicles, such as tanks. Many classic weapons and vehicles from previous Killzone installments will be returning, such as the M82-G and the StA-52 LAR. The Sixaxis motion control feature will also be utilized in performing certain actions such as turning a valve, arming an explosive charge and sniping. Game director Mathjis de Jonge has confirmed there are currently no plans to have co-op in Killzone 2.

Multiplayer

Warzone, the title of the multiplayer component of Killzone 2 has been developed by Guerrilla Games in conjunction with the game's single-player campaign. The multiplayer gameplay is class-based, meaning the player can choose a class of character which is specialized for a specific role to better suit the player's needs in battle. There will be 7 classes in total, in which the player can mix and match two according to their playing style, and can switch abilities upon death.

Players play as either the ISA or Helghast, with no gameplay difference pending on which team one is assigned to other than character model. Each class levels up with experience gained from killing or completing mission objectives, with enough experience they unlock new weapons, skills etc. as well as a new class that is unlocked. Each class has two badges, the Primary badge selects the class and their specified skill, the secondary badge has an extra skill for the specified class but can be swapped to custom create your own class.

Warzone plays out through dynamic matches where multiple game types are played in a single round. The game ships with five different game types including Assassination, Search & Retrieve, Search & Destroy, Bodycount and Capture & Hold. Online matches can connect 2 to 32 players, and they can group into squads of up to four players. Furthermore, two squads can group together as a faction of eight players. If an online match does not have a full 32 players, computer-generated "bots" can be added in to create bigger teams. Killzone 2 also offers a clan system, which allows clans of up to 64 players to compete for "Valor Points", an in-game currency that clans can use to bet on tournaments.

Players can also play offline against AIs with Skirmish mode.

Eight multiplayer maps are included on disc at release, Guerrilla has stated that further maps will be made available as future downloadable content. Vehicles have also been confirmed to be part of the multiplayer experience and are to be patched post-release. Read More . . .>>

Sniping Tutorial on COD 4

You thought that be a Good Sniper on Call Of Duty 4 is too hard?? Don't be! These are some advices to make you mastered sniping skill:

  1. Assuming you're level 4, start by creating your class. There are two basic types of snipers: Camp snipers and Mobile snipers. You can use whatever strategy you want, but these two categories are the mamma and pappa of snipers.
  2. CAMP SNIPING .......... The camper knows all of the maps and their sniping positions so, first things first, know where to go based on the position of friendlys (and enemies if you've got a UAV). Most often campers will sprint to their spot, lay claymores, and then start shooting. That's fine if that's the sniper you want to be. But for those looking for a little more stealth and subtlty, start the game sprinting from cover to cover. Once your in a position you know are hot spots for infantry or enemy snipers, crouch, or even crawl to get to your favorable position undetected. If you run into an enemy undected, knife him, no matter how tempting it may be to get a head shot (this is to remain unknown). This is a great strategy for getting behind enemy lines. If you are spotted along the way, you're either screwed or you have someone that knows where you are when they respawn.
  3. CAMPING WEAPONS AND PERKS .......... Bolt action snipers (M40A3 and R700) are highly recommended for campers. This is due mainly to the one-shot-kill damage stat. Some may say the .50 cal is good for camping, too, (one shot kill as well) but the ability to interupt your reloads to snag an extra kill is highly useful, and the .50 cal reloads SLOWLY. Which sniper you use is up to you, the M40A3 has one more bullet but the R700 (supposedly) does more damage.
  4. PERKS .......... For traditional campers, perk one should be claymores, perk two should be stopping power (normal match), or sleight of hand or UAV jammer (hardcore), and perk 3 should be iron lungs or deep impact. For stealth campers, perk one should be bandolier or claymores (recommended when sniping in buildings), perk two should be UAV jammer (hardcore) or stopping power (normal match), and perk three should be iron lungs for beginners and dead silence once you're experienced and into higher levels.
  5. MOBILE SNIPERS .......... Mobile snipers keep their enemies on their toes. They find a spot, take one or two shots, and move on. Moving stealthily is recommended so you won't be followed. If you become exposed while in a spot, move immediatly. The goal of mobile snipers is to cause confusion and keeping deaths to below 5. This type of sniping takes more practice and is generally harder than camping, so don't get dissapointed if you do bad your first couple times. Practicing in private matches with friends can be very helpful.
  6. MOBILE SNIPERS' WEAPONS AND PERKS .......... Semi-Auto snipers such as the M21, Dragonuv, and Barret .50 cal are the tools of the mobile sniper. They are one-shot-kills in hardcore, have larger clips, and are much more useful when you run into an enemy unexpectedly. At lower levels, the M21 has little to nada recoil, but the Dragonuv (supposedly) does more damage. Once you get it, always use the .50 cal, as it is a one shot kill, though the reload is slow. PERKS .......... Perk one should be bandolier or 3 frags, claymores are unnecessary because you will be moving around a lot, perk two should be stopping power (normal match) or UAV jammer (hardcore), and perk three should be extreme conditioning or dead silence.

Remember these :

  1. Proning is one of the snipers most useful tools; as it can keep you well hidden. Like right behind someone. They won't know your there.
  2. If you are changing positions, it is acceptable to sprint to your next location, however when you near your position crouch-walk into it and stay there for roughly 20 seconds to check if anyone noticed you enter the area.
  3. By definition, a sniper is a marksman in a concealed position. Cover is very important while sniping, the less of you that is exposed, the better. Trees aren't the best idea as they don't cover much of your body, however sitting in the corner of a window will provide great cover (i.e., Overgrown on Pipeline)
  4. Concentration is key, it helps if you come out of your scope and observe your surroundings and if you see anything move you can quickly scope in and get the kill. Another key point is to think of areas where the enemy is likely to come from and scope near those areas.
  5. Kill cam is a curse for a sniper, it lets the enemy know the general direction from which he was killed, once you get a kill try move to a new position to avoid being hunted down. However, if playing on "Hardcore" mode, you will not need to worry about the kill cam, however it's still a good idea to move around regularly to keep the enemy guessing where you are.
  6. Attempt the get a head shot, one shot one kill.
  7. Think outside of the box, don't sit in the same old obvious positions where every other sniper sits, find your own space where the enemy will not be expecting you.
  8. A good sniper is patient. If necessary, wait in your new position for several minutes to get a kill. Remember, if you can see the enemy, he can see you. Be in a more or less camouflaged or concealed location to avoid detection.
  9. Since most of a sniper's time is spent on observing; his observational skills have to be good. If you are using the Xbox Live headset and your real life team mates are talking back to you, inform them of what you are observing. Tell them when enemies are coming to take area A in Domination mode, for example.
  10. While a sniper, choose smoke grenades. The idea is that if you are being pinned down, you can throw a smoke grenade in between you and the enemy; then sprint to a new location.
  11. Place claymores effectively. Placing them right next to the other side of doors or entry ways is best. These are a snipers best friend. Especially if your hiding in a room scoping out of a window. Place them on the entry ways so they can't get to you.
  12. In Domination mode, find a position where you can scope the A, B, or C goal areas. The objective is to snipe enemies who try to take the areas.
  13. A good sniping spot is not necessarily high up. Just find some place where you have good visibility and are mostly hidden.

Be A Master in PES 2009

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 has been released.
PES 2009 offered some new features : like team license from Liverpool and Manchester United, and even more underdogs team, player’s movement more realistic, texture of player strip more realistic too, become legend mode (very interesting, try this) and more features in master league.

But I won’t share about the features this time. If u like to do some dribble trick in PES (or Winning Eleven), you will find that it’s not like the previous version. So, I won’t share about ordinary dribble trick.

These trick explained with condition your player move from left to right (facing the right) and make you mastered this game (I hope so) :

Cross over : while running press L1 twice

Cross over 2 : while running press L2 twice

Tricky feint 1 : hold R2 + press up (or down) twice

Tricky feint 2 : hold R2 + press up then down (do it quickly) or hold R2 + press down then up (do it quickly).

Lift the ball : hold R2 + press left then right (do it quickly). Your player will lift the ball, you can use it to pass defensive player or avoid tackling.

Drag-back : hold R2 + press back button twice (hold R2 + press left button twice )

Drag-back and go : hold R2 + press back button twice (hold R2 + press left button twice ) then press (up+right) or (down+right)

Flip-flap : it’s more difficult to explain, but i’ll try my best. While running (don’t press R1) press up+right then down+right or you can press down+right then up+right, depending on defensive player position. You must do it quickly.

360 degree turn over : it’s my favorite trick because so many players said that this trick has been removed. It’s wrong. To do this, just rotate your left analog 360 degree, clockwise or reverse clockwise.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is a video game title encompassing three versions: a full-3D action game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows and Wii.

At various points in the game, the player will be able to choose between good and evil paths. There are multiple endings depending on how the game is played out. In addition, the player will decide which villains to fight against. The player will be able to switch between the classic red and blue suit, and the Symbiote suit at any time during gameplay. Chris Scholz from Shaba Games also commented that the developers "worked on really separating the black and red suits to give the player a different feel." For example, red and blue-suited Spider-Man is fast and agile, while Symbiote Spider-Man is stronger and more destructive. The mini-map on the screen will also change. The traditional 2-D overhead view will be removed, replaced by a new 3D map with an "X", "Y" and "Z" axis which shows the player's position in three-dimensional space (north and south, as well as vertical position). Also, as a Wii exclusive, there are 6 alternate costumes (Spider-Carnage for the Black Suit, and Spider-Armor, Ben Reilly, Spider-Man 2099, Cosmic Spider-Man and the Iron Spider Suit for the Red Suit.).

Plot

In New York City, what appears to be an infection turned out to be an invasion. The story begins with Spider-Man assisting S.H.I.E.L.D. agents in the middle of the invasion. After defeating them, he reunites with Mary Jane Watson and Luke Cage before being attacked by an unidentified assilant
Spider-Man then thinks back to four days ago when he and Mary Jane were attacked by Venom. During the battle a part of the symbiote of Venom's suit binds itself to Parker. With his symbiotic power, Parker defeats Brock, but Venom still escapes. Mary Jane is rushed to the hospital, but two rival gangs, the Rolling Sevens and the Park Avenues, engage in a gunfight in front of the hospital. After stopping the fighting gangs outside of the hospital, Spider-Man joins Luke Cage in the war against the Rolling Sevens and the Park Avenues. Cage also trains Spider-Man, then Spidey goes to both leaders to meet Cage in the park. When Cage finally sets up a parley between the two, the meeting is attacked by heavily armed mercenaries. Spider-Man takes them down and discovers evidence that the gang war was set up.
Spider-Man traces the attackers to Fisk Industries, home of the Kingpin. When attempting to confront Kingpin, Spider-Man encounters Black Cat. After having a run in with Moon Knight, Spider-Man assumes Black Cat is working for the Kingpin and chases her down. Black Cat claims that she was trying to infiltrate Fisk's heist operation as a favour to Spider-Man. Spider-Man engages Kingpin's forces including the ones that are setting up bombs on the courthouse. He traces the manufacturer of Kingpin's armor to the Vulture, who he defeats in a mid-air battle. Spider-Man then precedes to wipe out the last of Kingpin's troops when he is attacked by monsters which are actually strangely aggressive citizens with powers similar to his own. The civilians take down Kingpin's soldiers and then turn on Spider-Man. He attempts to defend himself and is seen by the police as "attacking" the people. Spider-Man was seen as a criminal and now goes into hiding.
He begins an investigation of the strange behavior of Manhattan's citizens, during which he is confronted and attacked by Wolverine in Hell's Kitchen. After convincing Wolverine that he has his symbiotic suit under control, the duo set out to pacify the aggressive citizens, confirmed to be infected by the same symbiote Spider-Man wears. During his campaign to cleanse the city, Spider-Man discovers that Venom is somehow forcing the symbiote suit he wears to reproduce. These clones form hives in many parts of the city. From these hives, they launch an invasion against the citizens of the city, kidnapping them and throwing them into the hives, where they emerge as monsters.

Spidey in the Symbiote form... He's looking cool, isn't he?

After destroying several pods, S.H.I.E.L.D. sends a Helicarrier to Manhattan to quarantine citizens, determining which are infected and which are not. Black Widow is appointed head of the S.H.I.E.L.D. quarantine operation. As Black Widow is about to arrest Spider-Man, Electro attacks one of the quarantine zones, looking for his sister. Electro finds his sister, who has been infected, and in turn infects Electro. Now bonded to his own symbiote, Electro flees.
Soon the streets of New York become over-run with symbiotes. Spider-Man attempts to contact Reed Richards, Henry Pym, Hank McCoy and Tony Stark for assistance in building a machine to destroy the symbiotes. With neither available, he decides to break the Tinkerer out of Ryker's Island after calling Mary Jane. Spider-Man ends up in an argument with Moon Knight and Vulture about the legal ramifications of this act. Regardless, Spider-Man arrives at Ryker's Island and frees the Rhino in the middle of prison break. After making his way to where Tinkerer is being held with Rhino's help, Spider-Man succeeds in freeing him. Tinkerer builds a sonic device that is supposed to wipe out any traces of the symbiote invasion. S.H.I.E.L.D. starts building the device on top of the Trask Building, and Manhattan is sealed off. During the device's construction, Spider-Man helps evacuate uninfected citizens inside the city. Spider-Man also prevents symbiotes from overrunning Wilson Fisk Industries. Spider-Man then defeats the symbiote-possessed Electro and Electro-type symbiotes called Electrolings.
Spider-Man then assists Moon Knight and S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents in fighting Vulture-like symbiotes called Vulturelings. Afterward he returns to help protect the S.H.I.E.L.D. safezone at Stark Tower from symbiotes. Spider-Man then joins Wolverine in defending an evacuation effort at a church from symbiotes. After the people are saved, Wolverine is infected upon being buried by Berserker and Gripper Symbiotes and turned into a symbiotic version of himself. Spider-Man manages to defeat him, and then helps defend a convoy of citizens out of Harlem, bringing the game's events back to where they were at the introduction. Spider-Man then ends up in a fight with a symbiote-possessed Black Cat and defends Mary Jane from her. As Spider-Man and S.H.I.E.L.D. finish clearing the citizens from Manhattan, the Tinkerer prepares to set off the sonic emitter from on top of the Empire State Building. A now symbiote-possessed Vulture and his minions attempt to destroy the device, but Spider-Man defeats them with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s aerial armada and uses his device for his own means.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier is then attacked by Venom and more symbiotes. With the help of his allies, Spider-Man sets bombs on the helicarrier in order to destroy it. Spider-Man finally confronts Venom in his new hideous form: a hydra-like monster with multiple heads. After defeating the extra heads Spider-Man confronts the terrorized Eddie Brock inside the Venom monster, asking Brock why he changed from a psychotic crime-fighter to a destructive monster hell-bent on destroying the city. The helicarrier crashes in the Hudson River, destroying the Venom monster and killing Brock.
The game has four endings, based on whether the player beats the game with a Red Suit alignment or a Black Suit alignment, and also regarding some of the choices in the game.

DotA Strategy for Beginner

One of the key things to being successful at playing DotA is constructing the right items in the right situations. In game there isn’t a ton of time to spend agonizing over what to build. Luckily, there are a ton of great items lists you can check out or print and use during the game. This should help you to come up with the best possible builds in all kinds of situations.

DOTA stands for Defence of the Ancients. It is a mod for Warcraft 3. Since its inception, there have been a number of good DOTA Strategy guides written about it.

Here are 8 DOTA Strategy 101 tips to help you get into the game.

Tip #1 Farming
Farming means killing creeps or neutrals for gold. The more enemy creeps you kill, the more gold you'll receive. Sometimes when farming becomes difficult, player may turn to farming neutral characters for extra gold.

Tip #2 Last Hit
Last Hit means moving in close to hit the enemy creep for gold. Damaging an enemy creep does not provide gold, so its beneficial for a non-ranged character to move in for a last hit to receive this benefit. This also allows you to stay out of range of the opposing team.

Making a last hit requires a feel of the timing to deal direct damage for different characters. You can get a feel of this simply by playing the game often. A good strategy is to keep the thumb on the "ALT" key so that you can readily see the life line of the creeps, and only move in to get a last hit when its life is low.

Tip #3 Hot Key
Hot Key is an essential DOTA strategy. Different spells are tied to different buttons which when pressed will activate the spell. Since battles in DOTA last only a few seconds, clicking on the icons with the mouse is a little slow.

Tip #4 Mouse
Getting a good mouse is important for DOTA. You'll also enjoy the gaming experience more with a good mouse, skates, and mouse pad.

Tip #5 Item Build
Having the right item build will increase the power of your character. Some characters require more health or more speed, or more mana as the game progresses. Knowing the complimentary item build for your character will increase its power and direct damage.

Tip #6 Team Play
In competitive DOTA play, its necessary to play in groups. Public DOTA strategy and Competitive DOTA strategy are different with the latter being more difficult and emphasis on team cooperation.

Tip #7 Mana Required
Always take note of the amount of mana required to cast 2 spells. 1 spell alone will normally not be sufficient to take down an opponent.

Tip #8 Item Cost
By understanding what items need to be built, you'll be able to know the cost and time your return to the fountain. Less trip back to the fountain means more time in the battle field, which translates to more gold and experience for your DOTA character.
